
Northampton Pride March and Rally
Northampton Pride is being held on May 3, 2008 from noon – 5p.m. The Pride March commences at Lampron Park and will end at the Rally site, the large Armory Street parking lot, behind Thornes Marketplace in downtown Northampton, Mass. This year’s theme is “Vote with Pride.”
This year’s Pride will have tons of vendors, merchants, and displays that attendees will be certainly to get a kick out of. Special features include a photo shoot with Democratic Party’s candidates (full-size) Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama!
An excellent entertainment line-up is put into place and includes headliners Kirsten Price and Brian Kent and several other hot artists such as Carrie Ashton; The Jesse Molina band; Lenelle Moise; Lord Russ as "Queen Elvis;" the Wicked Queeah Band; Laura Wood, Mayra Casales, & Wendy Sobel and Off Beat Women’s Drumming Ensemble. There will also be guest appearances by Lipstick & Dipstick, and Rachel Maddow.

Connecticut Pride Rally and Festival
The Connecticut Pride Rally and Festival will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Elizabeth Park in Hartford, Conn. The theme of this year’s Rally and Festival is “What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?”
This year, you can expect a wide variety of family fun, great food and entertainment, vendors, speakers, and much more!
Hosted by Barbara Seville, you can count on fabulous entertainment that features mega hit recording artist, Abigail, Carrie Ashton, Arlene Wow, Jen Talylor and Sweet. Other artists include Shaded Soul, The Hartford Harlettes, Lady Tatiana, Least Complicated, and The King St. Boiz.

New England Trans Pride
The first New England Transgender Pride March and Rally will be held on June 7, 2008 in Northampton, MA. The March begins at the Bridge Street School (Lampron Park) and will end at the Armory Street lot behind Thornes Marketplace.
According to the New England Transgender Pride website, www.transpridemarch.org, the event is organized by members of the Trans and gender variant community, and their allies, with the intent of taking a visible and positive stand for transgender rights.
A superb variety of rally speakers and entertainers at this grassroots March and Rally include; Rally MC, Louis Mitchell-Villon, Trans Pride Grand Marshal: Miss Major, Monica Roberts, Moonhawk River Stone, Alex Pangborn, Ethan St. Pierre, Leslie Feinberg, Imani Henry, Kate Bornstein, Jill Meredith, Berlin, Ph.D., Joe Stevens (of Coyote Grace), Gunner Scott, Dr. Enoch Page, Jacklyn Matts, Dru Levasseur, Bet Power, Marie Ali, Elliot Halloway, Donna Rose, Vickie Boisseau, Jerimarie Liesegang, Lee Elder, Ellen Wittlinger, Cathy Worthley, and All The Kings Men: Boston’s Drag Troupe.
An array of vendors will also be present this inaugural Pride event and will offer merchandise and services directly related to the benefit and interest of the Trans community.

Capital Pride ’08
This year Capital Pride kicks off at 12 noon on June 8th, rain or shine, and if you’d like to march at the parade, or enter a float, please fill out the parade registration form (found at the www.cdglcc.org) and join the fun! The parade steps off at noon in Washington Park, at the intersection of Sprague and State Streets. From there we will march down State Street, over Lark Street, up Madison Avenue and back into the park at the intersection of Madison and New Scotland Avenues.
The festival will begin immediately following the parade so plan to stay for the entire afternoon. There will be fabulous entertainment on the festival stage and activities for the entire family! The entertainment line-up will be announced soon, please visit: www.cdglcc.org.
