3rd Annual Revival QWOC Poetry Tour Needs Assistance, Poems, More

They say the third time’s a charm and this year, salon-styled tour, The Revival travels to Toronto, DC, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Durham and Brooklyn to connect hundreds of queer women of color artists and allies. October 6-13, 2012, The Revival honors a queer tradition of turning homes into sanctuaries and every concert takes place in someone’s living room! With one week left for fundraising, our kick starter campaign calls on the community for help!

“No donation is too small and more than anything the power of a kind thought will go a long way!” Adds producer and poet, Jade Foster. “And a Facebook like! After Frank Oceans blog post last week, the internet is not to be played with. And there’s a new season turning, one that looks for the queer story. It’s up to the poets. It’s up to us to continue.”

The tour has confirmed collaborations with Durham’s Mobile Homecoming Project, Toronto’s Kim Katrin Crosby, Brooklyn’s LGBT Pride Center and a recent grant recipient of DC’s Al Sura Foundation. The Revival Kickstarter Campaign is one week away from closing and confident in reaching their goal!
