PROVINCETOWN, Mass. – Boston chef Tiffani Faison, contestant on Season 1 of Bravo’s Top Chef and chef/owner of highly-praised Sweet Cheeks BBQ, will sample food from 20 different Provincetown restaurants and judge a live cooking challenge featuring secret ingredients, at the annual event The Taste of Provincetown on July 20.
Having been through the paces of cooking challenges with limited time and surprise ingredients, Chef Faison is perfectly suited to judge the live cook-off competition featuring three Provincetown chefs. Last year’s winner, Chef Lucio Garnica of Provincetown’s Sage Inn & Lounge, will join her at the judges table.
New this year is a chance for one lucky person to rub elbows with Chefs Faison and Garnica as a cook-off judge. The winner of the on-site raffle will have the rare opportunity to sit with these amazing chefs and cast their vote to determine a winner of the cooking challenge.
The proceeds of this event, now in its fourth year, support nonprofit MassEquality, working to ensure that all people in Massachusetts can be equal, safe and free, from cradle to grave, without discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
The Taste of Provincetown will start at 6 p.m. at Provincetown Town Hall on Saturday, July 20. Event and raffle tickets are available now at www.massequality.org/PTown.
